This new role of Grants Assistant provides an exciting opportunity to learn all about raising funds from a wide range of grant funders including charitable trusts, corporate trusts, statutory, landfill community and lottery funders.

Based: HQ, Slimbridge Wetland Centre - Commutable from Stroud, Bristol & Gloucester
37.5 Hours per week
Salary: £18,858 - £19,850 per annum

The Grants Team makes a major contribution to raising the funds we need for wildlife and community-focused conservation programmes in the UK and internationally, environmental education projects and the work that ensures that our wetland centres and reserves offer all that they can for wildlife and people.

This post offers rapid career progression potential. We are looking for someone to manage their own portfolio of grant funder relationships, including making applications, compiling reports and developing relationships as well as supporting Grants Team colleagues in all aspects of their work.

The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop a career in this field and will have some previous fundraising experience. We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and creative person with strong written and oral communication skills and numerical aptitude, who is confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels and managing their own workload.
