We are looking for a succesful, values-driven fundraiser who is passionate about transforming the lives of children and young people in Camden. If you are a persuasive writer, a skilled organiser, a committed learner and are able to build great relationships with adults and young people, we want to hear from you.

In return, you’ll enjoy working with a friendly, supportive and dedicated team, in an award-winning young person's charity, and be able to see first-hand the impact your work makes from our busy community hub in Swiss Cottage, where we have been based for 45 years.

Working closely with our children, young people and families teams, you are responsible for securing our income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources, for helping to monitor and manage our existing grants and contracts, and to help us amplify the difference we make for our community.

You will achieve this by researching and prioritising fundraising opportunities, working with colleagues to submit compelling and successful funding proposals, and reporting to funders and supporters on progress and impact. You will also help coordinate our engagement with donors to ensure we proactively manage our relationships and be keen to celebrate and share our achievements and insights.

We want you to be a success, and therefore we would like you to be:

  • Highly organised, professional, resilient and reliable
  • Very motivated to achieve and be able to thrive in a environment of trust and autonomy
  • Enjoy supporting children and young people's involvement in our work
  • A confident communicator with the enthusiasm to motivate others to our cause
  • Able to find creative solutions to complex problems
  • Comfortable in working flexibly and be able to adapt quickly to change
  • Personally commited to safeguard children and vulnerable adults
  • Committed to  the principles of equality of opportunity and inclusion

Ideally, you will have at least a couple of years experience already in the charity fundraising sector, or relevant and transferable experience. You will also have an interest in being closely involved in developing our fundraising strategy and impact reporting, and would see this as an opportunity for personal stretch and professional growth. Finally you will be interested in working at the heart of a local community, where relationships matter and you are valued.

The contract is for 37 hours a week, with occaisonal and planned weekend or evening work. Pension and sick pay are also included.
