Project Development & Grants Coordinator (London Urban Forest)

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 (DoE)

A Project Development & Grants Coordinator will develop projects and secure income for our tree planting programme in London.

This is an exciting role for an individual to develop projects and raise essential funds to plant urban woodlands and neighbourhood trees in parks, schools, streets and estates across London. We seek an ambitious individual to build upon Trees for Cities’ strong track record of planting trees across London.

It’s about developing partnerships and meeting targets.

To be a successful Project Development & Grants Coordinator you will develop and manage partnerships with London landowners and grant-making trusts, foundations, lottery and government. You will research suitable funders, develop strong applications, and coordinate partnerships with grant funders including reporting and grant claims. You will need to meet your personal income target which is part of the wider development team target.

  • High energy self starter who is responsive to the changing demands of an urban charity
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Well organised with meticulous administration skills, paying close attention to detail
  • Target driven, goal orientated with proven experience in grants fundraising and partnership development
  • Able to represent the charity at meetings and generate new partnerships
  • Interest in the urban environment and an enthusiasm for urban trees
