Trust and Corporate Fundraising Officer

Putney SW15

£26,000 - £30,000 FTE per annum depending on experience.

Full time position. Part time would be considered, minimum 3 days per week.

St Christopher's is a leading charity for children and young people and we are proud of our history for providing fostering, children's homes and a range of innovative leaving care and homelessness services across the UK & Isle of Man.

We now have an exciting new role to join us. We are looking for a Trust and Corporate Fundraising Officer to help maximise our fundraised income so we continue raising even more to fund our rapidly-growing services for our young people in care.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of our annual fundraising plan, focusing on charitable trusts, foundations and companies in order to bring in restricted and unrestricted income for St Christopher’s in line with our budgeted expectations. You will also contribute to our fundraising communications and support the writing of our bi-annual newsletter to ensure that charitable trusts and companies are recognised in the publication.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience of successful income generation through fundraising activity in the following areas: charitable trusts and foundations, and corporate world.
  • In-depth knowledge of the fundraising environment and regulatory framework in the voluntary sector.
  • It would be beneficial if you had experience of managing and controlling budgets.
  • Creativity, high level presentation and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and strong relationship building skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to different services across UK

In return we offer:

  • A salary range of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Real opportunities of growth and development.
  • A flexible and friendly working environment, a fun, open and honest culture.
  • A comprehensive induction programme and career progression for high performers.
  • A shopping discount scheme.
  • After successful probation a contributory pension, season ticket loans, cycle to work scheme, childcare vouchers and employee assistance programme.

This is an exciting opportunity. We have many new projects that need funding and so a large part of the work will be developmental. It will appeal to a self-starter, comfortable working in a stand-alone capacity, with the drive and creativity to make a role their own, as well as an interest in the strategic side of fundraising. If you’re ready for the challenge and think you have the skills to drive St Christopher’s forward we would love to hear from you.

To be considered, you must complete our on-line application that must include a full supporting statement addressing the criteria stated above. A CV on its own will not be accepted.
