Trust & Statutory Fundraiser

Reporting to the Senior Trust & Statutory Fundraising Manager, the Trust and Statutory Fundraiser will research and apply for local and regional sources of funding.  You’ll have regular contact with volunteers at local Samaritans branches by phone, email, and face to face.  You will also work closely with senior volunteers, including our new Regional Fundraising Officers across the UK, to identify funding needs and build cases for support that appeal to funders.

You’ll take the lead in ensuring a joined up approach to grant fundraising across the whole organisation, helping to instigate new processes for reporting on approaches, and offering support and guidance to volunteers on grant funding opportunities to support their branch activity.

We are looking for a pro-active and highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will need strong organisational skills to meet deadlines along with planning and prioritising your work. Excellent research skills and previous experience of working within a fundraising environment is essential.
