A vacancy has arisen for the above position working for The Smallpeice Trust, an energetic and independent educational charity, which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to 10 to 18 year olds in Leamington Spa.

As a key member of the fundraising and business development department you will develop and implement fundraising activities, focussing in particular on trusts, foundations and statutory sources and assisting with corporate fundraising.

Principal Responsibilities include

  • Carrying out fundraising campaigns and activities, as agreed with the Head of Business Development.
  • Developing and preparing compelling written materials, cases for support and proposals for trusts, foundations, government prospects and other funders as appropriate.
  • Maintaining and developing existing relationships with funders in order to secure their continued funding in the future.
  • Keeping comprehensive central records of all applications submitted, correspondence and other relevant documentation.
  • Tracking and analysing giving practices to identify trends which could affect the success of applications.
  • Liaising with the Management Team and project staff to plan projects requiring funding; setting potential outcomes and outputs; preparation of financial budgets.
  • Reviewing and reporting on successes and failures of applications and implementation of necessary changes.

Candidates will be exceptionally organised and possess research and administrative skills.  Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role as is the need to have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.  You will need to have a proven history of fundraising and an interest in STEM is desirable.
