Trusts & Major Donor Officer 

We need you! We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and confident self-starter who is looking for a new challenge and will deliver a step change in large gift income to transform lives. 

Transform is a charity with 45 years of experience in providing housing and support for more than 1,000 homeless and vulnerable people each year. We help to develop their skills and confidence to live independent and fulfilling lives. The recent merger with Cherchefelle Housing Association, which has been delivering supported housing home based and extra care services since 1970, means Transform has doubled in size, and is helping more and more people. We want this to continue. 

Position: Trusts & Major Donor Officer 
Location: Leatherhead 
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Contract: Permanent

About the role: 

The main purpose of this role is to research, develop and maintain links between Transform Housing & Support and Transform Homecare and grant giving trusts, foundations, livery companies and local authority funders alongside high net worth individuals. 

We want you to be responsible for identifying and maximising income through targeted applications and approaches. We want you to work with other team members to grow an effective and skilled fundraising and communications team, whilst producing high-quality communications (cases for support) to protect and enhance the reputation of Transform. As the Trusts & Major Donor Officer, we want you to promote the importance of fundraising and communications within Transform and inspire others to support and promote the work of Transform. 

About you: 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have experience of working as a trust or major donor fundraiser, or similar, and have experience of securing large gifts from trusts / grant-making organisations, statutory funders, livery companies or major donors. Experience of researching trusts and individuals, making fundraising applications and providing excellent donor stewardship is also required as is experience of using and maintaining a fundraising / relationship database. 

We need you to have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage your own workload to a high standard and be a professional and confident communicator. We need you to have good proofreading and strong presentational skills, as well as record keeping skills. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required. 

We do require you to be able to work flexible hours as there will be occasional evening and weekend working. You will need to have a full valid driving licence and the use of your own car for meetings and visits with trusts and visits to our properties. 

Basic disclosure will also be required.
