Tunbridge Wells Mental Health Resource Ltd (MHR) is a highly respected established Charity delivering mental health services to individuals across Kent. The Charity is steadily growing with exciting new projects and developments underway. 2018 will be a year of special opportunities in addition to being supported by various other local corporations. So, it’s an exciting time for us.

We are currently looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within a small team. This varied role will include securing grants and donations, developing community relationships, corporate fundraising, working closely with a Fundraising Mentor and leading our fundraising strategy. Based in Tunbridge Wells, the post is offered on a permanent part-time basis for 22.5 hours per week. Working days are flexible. The salary range is between £25,350 - £27,710 pro-rata, per annum, depending on experience.

The Fundraising Manager will:

  • Lead the charities fundraising strategy, guided by an external mentor, working closely with our Business Development Manager and senior management team
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of trusts, foundations and grant making organisations
  • Secure funding to ensure sustainability, development and growth
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with current and new funders
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to develop corporate sponsors
  • Manage community events

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Excellent time-management and ability to set priorities in a busy varied role
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work effectively as part of a small team
  • Experience, understanding or knowledge of making successful trust and grant applications including 5-6 figure sums
  • Experience, understanding or knowledge of another field of fundraising such as corporate or community
  • Experience of reporting outcomes to funders
  • Committment to supporting people with mental health issues
  • Event management
