They are called TwentyTwenty for a reason. Their aim is to help young people see beyond their disadvantage and disengagement, recognise their worth and potential, focus on building the skills for success, and develop a clear vision and plan to achieve sustained employment and a bright future.

They believe in the worth, talent and potential of all young people. No matter what challenges a young person has faced or is still facing, we know that with the right help, they can develop the confidence, personal resources and skills to move forward in their education and find sustainable employment.

TwentyTwenty are looking for a passionate, outgoing and resourceful individual to join their team as their Derbyshire Fundraiser, raising their profile and placing them at the heart of the Derbyshire community.

As part of the fundraising team you will lead on our community fundraising within the Derbyshire area, events in both Derbyshire and Leicestershire, and be responsible for securing income to support our work. You will work strategically with the rest of the team, especially your geographical equivalent in Leicestershire, to deliver the right funding for the right work.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for placing TwentyTwenty at the heart of the local community, investigating, researching and making approaches for new funding as well as maintaining and developing existing relationships to ensure future support.

Closing Date: 9am Thursday 24th January

Interview Dates: Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th February

What they dream about (Our Vision):

"We want to see Bright Futures for young people. A society where all young people are able to contribute through rewarding employment, however far the distance travelled from where they start"

What they are here for (Our Mission):

"We help young people aged 11-24 who are impacted by social injustice transform their lives through educating and supporting them to achieve sustained education and employment"

They want to break cycles of hopelessness, unemployment and dependency in the most deprived areas of the Midlands and beyond. Their aim is to help young people see beyond their disadvantage and disengagement, recognise their worth and potential, focus on building the skills and plans for success, and develop a clear vision to achieve a bright future.

Who are they (Their values):

  • Young people are brilliant: Every young person has God given worth, significance and abilities, and is treated as such. Everything we do aims to develop their full potential and help them ‘find the gold’ in themselves. Their views and opinions play a key role in shaping our services.
  • Young people deserve the best: Quality is our priority, measured by the results young people are empowered to achieve and the impact we make. These are the true measures of our success, and we focus on consistent improvement to this end. Our growth and expansion always contributes to quality and does not lessen it.
  • A great team can achieve anything: The right people are our best asset. We recruit for attitude (staff and volunteers) and train for skills. An attitude and aptitude for teamwork is essential, and everyone is encouraged to share their ideas to help us improve.
  • Diversity matters: Our Christian ethos demands respect for people of all faiths and none. A purposely diverse staff/volunteer team serve young people best. Faith in young people and a commitment to keep learning are the non-negotiable characteristics of all staff, volunteers and trustees.
