This is an exciting opportunity to join the executive team of an ambitious and innovative global brand and make a positive impact on the lives of children around the world.

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Unicef UK raises funds for Unicef’s global work and we advocate and campaign for the fulfilment of children’s rights in the UK and abroad. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Executive Director, Individual Giving to join our leadership team.  This is a new role that will provide strategic direction and management to four teams: Direct Marketing, Public Fundraising, Gifts in Wills and Supporter Services with approximately 50 staff. Between them, these teams currently deliver 57% of Unicef UK’s voluntary income.

As Deputy Executive Director, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate these high-performing teams to achieve our ambitious strategic goals for increasing income from mass engagement. As a member of the executive team, you will work alongside colleagues to drive our dynamic strategy to deliver more impact and influence for children and their rights.

To succeed, you will have outstanding leadership and strategic thinking skills, the ability to influence and a collaborative working style. You will bring significant experience of direct marketing and an innovative, future-focused approach to driving individual giving. We are looking for demonstrable evidence of developing and implementing a strategy that has accelerated income growth, established a more diverse and sustainable income base and successfully grown new income streams.  Above all, you will be committed to Unicef’s mission and passionate about making a difference for children in danger.

Closing date: 5pm, Thursday 15 November 2018.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.
