Public Fundraising Executive (Challenge Events)

£27,597 - £32,853 per annum

Fixed-term contract – 10 months

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The Public Fundraising Team at Unicef UK is responsible for events and community fundraising: recruiting people and organisations to raise money to support our work by either taking part in an event or organising their own fundraising. We support and inspire those people once recruited and build a relationship with them to retain their support for Unicef UK.

As Public Fundraising Executive for challenge events, you will provide excellent fundraising stewardship and supporter communications to participants brought in through challenge events partnerships and third party events.

To succeed, you will have fundraising experience along with demonstrable evidence of building and nurturing relationships across different audiences, motivating fundraising support and driving increased income.  You will have experience of developing and delivering supporter care plans, as well as producing engaging communications across different channels to provide an exceptional supporter experience. You will also excel at supporting on or delivering an event.

This fantastic opportunity is offered for ten months with a possibility of extension beyond that period.

Act now and visit our website to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday, 27 March 2018. Interview date:  Wednesday, 11 April 2018.

This role is currently based in Farringdon.  From Summer 2018, Unicef UK will relocate to Stratford (zone 2).  Our new offices will be close to the new Crossrail station and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Stratford is also served by the Jubilee and Central Lines, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail and National Rail services.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
