Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all children.

The Direct Marketing team is responsible for recruiting and developing support for Unicef’s work from individual members of the public. We do this using a wide range of media, including direct dialogue, print, DRTV, Outdoor, Radio and digital. We’re a fast-paced, friendly and supportive team where attention to detail and teamwork deliver award-winning results. As a result of growth and internal movement, we are recruiting for a number of opportunities within the team.

We are seeking a talented and creative Senior Direct Marketing Officer to join our Acquisition team and support the continued growth of our programme.

As Senior Direct Marketing Officer, you will lead a small team to plan and implement direct marketing campaigns across a range of media, and contribute to Unicef’s acquisition strategy. As a manager within our Acquisition team, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop specific areas of the direct marketing budget, and you will manage agency partners to deliver campaigns that successfully raise money to support Unicef’s vital work.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a track record in managing direct marketing-based fundraising campaigns (ideally including acquisition experience), as well as excellent communication skills so that you can build effective relationships with internal and external contacts. You should also have some experience of managing and developing others and be skilled at managing multiple projects at the same time.

As we’re offering a number of new opportunities in the Direct Marketing team, applicants may be contacted before the closing date so please apply as soon as possible.

This role is currently based in Farringdon. From late August 2018, Unicef UK will relocate to Stratford (zone 2). Our new offices will be close to the new Crossrail station and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Stratford is also served by the Jubilee and Central Lines, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail and National Rail services.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
