Community Fundraising and Events Officer

Volunteer Glasgow seeks another team member with energy and skill to help the organisation secure support and resources for our work. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a charity which provides a diverse set of services to children, young people and adults across the city enabling people to contribute and realise their potential. As sole fundraiser, the post will focus primarily on working with the Management Team to increase restricted and unrestricted income from community fundraising activities and events, but will also be expected to support increased individual giving (including major donors and membership), OR commercial link-ups. You will be working to diversify current income streams, increasing our small supporter (donor) base alongside our existing team of more than 120 service-delivery volunteers and 25 staff.

Volunteer Glasgow has been operating in the city for over 45 years supporting volunteers and volunteering, providing direct services to, amongst others, children, families and communities and highlighting the value and potential of volunteering on a national level.  You would join a team of people committed to Volunteer Glasgow’s vision and would augment the skill set to secure support and resources for our work.

Based at our office in the city centre, with excellent transport links the post represents a challenging developmental opportunity with favourable annual leave and flexible working. You will be working alongside our existing team of 120+ service delivery volunteers and 25 staff to diversify current income streams and increase our small supporter (donor) base.  You will have clear targets and objectives to achieve during a probationary period and beyond.
