Wessex Heartbeat is a well-established and much loved local charity covering the Wessex Region, in support of the Wessex Cardiac Centre based at Southampton General Hospital. In its 25 years the charity has raised over £16m in support of the Cardiac Centre, and also supports families with its unique 25-bedroom Heartbeat House.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team, as a Community and Donor Development Officer.

You will need to be a dynamic experienced fundraiser, self-motivated and always striving to improve.

You will be a key member of our team, and be responsible for helping increase our income from developing our stewardship program, one-off donations, regular giving, and growing our supporter base through community based events.

You will also work with the CEO on devising and delivering a high value donor (HVD) stewardship programme to significantly increase the volume, loyalty and income from high value donors.

You will implement donor journeys for all supporters, through communications, account management and community events.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum of 3-year fundraising experience, minimum qualification in Certificate of Fundraising, and also have experience of using a variety of fundraising techniques (DM, events or account management) to generate income.

You will have experience of using fundraising databases.
