The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is the nation’s leading wetland conservation charity. We are pioneers in protecting wetlands for wildlife and people, both in the UK and around the world.
Almost all life depends on wetlands for water, food, or habitat. Yet a third of all wetlands have been destroyed. We are pioneers in saving threatened wetland wildlife, a centre for excellence in conservation science and experts in wetland management and creation.
We are now looking for a Membership Recruitment Manager to join our passionate team and promote the benefits of membership with the WWT.
- Salary of £33,991 - £35,780 per annum

As the Membership Recruitment Manager, you will develop and implement a growth strategy to acquire new members for the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.
Becoming a member is one of the best ways our supporters can help protect our precious wetland habitat. Their membership helps to protect wetlands and wildlife in the UK and overseas and gives them access to nine of our centres, meaning they can have a great day out while doing some good.
Leading a small, but formidable team, you’ll identify ways to promote the benefits of membership to potential supporters using face-to-face and digital channels.
You’ll collaborate with various teams to ensure that the membership journey is positive and create marketing collateral and display materials to support our face-to-face membership recruiters.
To join us as our Membership Recruitment Manager, you will need:
- Experience of membership recruitment in a charity environment
- A proven track record of delivering and exceeding six figure membership recruitment targets
- Experience of using digital marketing techniques to attract new members
- A collaborative approach
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude
Other organisations may call this role Membership Recruitment Manager, Supporter Recruitment Manager, Conservation Membership Manager, Supporter Engagement Manager or Membership Engagement Manager.
This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required.
