Work for Good  are  a  social  enterprise  on  a  mission  to  unleash  the  giving  power  of  the  business  world. Business  giving  currently  represents  a  meagre  2%  of  UK  charity  income.  Our mission is  to  change  that  by  making  business  giving  easy  and  good  for  business,  to  create  a  major  new  source  of  funding  for  good  causes.  Our online platform enables  businesses  to  build  giving  into  their  day  to  day  work,  for  the  good  of  both  business  and  charities.

We are  at  an  exciting  moment  in  our  story.  We’ve built the  platform,  proved  concept,  and  have  launched  in  the  UK.  We are currently  rapidly  growing  and  scaling  welcoming  new  charities  and  businesses  to  the  platform  every  day,  To date  we  have  280  charities  signed  up  including  some  of  the  largestand  most  high  profile  in  the  UK. Role

The  role  will  have  several  dimensions.  You  will  proactively  manage  our  charities  partnerships  to  ensure  ambitious  growth  targets.  You  will  help  to  identify  and  cultivate  new  charity  prospects  and  devising  and  implementing  a  strategic  approach  to  ensure  effective  relationships  and  stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identity and cultivate prospective charity leads across the UK.
  • Liaise with CEO and all lead generation sources to take over and convert warm leads.
  • Design a stewardship and cultivation programme for prospective charity partners.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing charity partners.
  • Monitor and report on all aspects of fundraising partner satisfaction, identify and address pinch points and all barriers to adoption and use.
  • Develop charity case study collateral and promotional material for use on multiple platforms and a variety of media.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to deliver coverage across multiple channels including social media and web.
  • Representation – participate in webinars, attend external networking events.
  • Be a leader. Think strategically, challenge and help us evolve, bring new ideas, spot opportunities.

Requirements

  • A strong and confident all-rounder with a minimum of 3 years’ account management experience.
  • Corporate Fundraising or Community Fundraising background useful but not essential.
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering strong stewardship and cultivation programmes.
  • Proven track record of relationship management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident and professional manner – able to develop good working relationships across the organisation; the ability to work in partnership with people at all levels.
  • Understanding of how to build rapport, convert interest and manage relationships.
  • A natural communicator who understands how to engage, inspire and motivate others.
  • Understanding of and passion for our mission.
  • Willingness to work hard and flexibly, we are a start-up.
