We are looking for an experienced trusts, foundations and major donor fundraiser to join RICE at an important and exciting time of growth for the organisation. This is a role in a small and effective team and for the right candidate is a great opportunity to make the role your own. You will work closely with the Fundraising and Development Manager on our multi-year DementiaPlus Appeal and will develop new opportunities whilst ensuring existing income streams are maintained and improved.

You will have at least 3 years’ experience of successful income growth through charitable trusts and foundations and/or major donors and of developing productive long-term relationships. You have a proven record of researching and developing prospects in these areas, meeting financial targets and significantly growing income. You will enjoy working for a small charity/not-for-profit company and will have the ability to work on your own to deliver to deadlines and meet targets. Your interest in health and research charities and/or previous experience of working with people with dementia or in the older age group will be an advantage.

RICE is an independent charity and an internationally renowned centre for dementia research, diagnosis and treatment. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people; our Memory Clinic and allied services also provide support to patients, families and carers. We are currently in an ambitious phase of development which aims to significantly increase our clinical and academic research programme. We work closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research institutions, both nationally and internationally, and with the Royal United Hospital.

Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom, and all employees of RICE are required to undergo a DBS check.

To apply by email: Please submit a CV and covering letter outlining how you meet the criteria for the role, and provide the names and contact details of two referees, indicating clearly whether we may approach your referees prior to appointment.
