This exciting and dynamic position will identify and target new sources of income for PBL and contribute to the delivery of the annual development income target – primarily focused on corporate/commercial/campaigns and events.

The post holder will be responsible for managing PBL’s public capital campaign, and for the planning and facilitation of the capital campaign donor activity, stewardship, continued giving and naming opportunities. They will also be responsible for the cultivation of donors across all areas of the fundraising mix including identifying corporate prospects for members, sponsorship, in-kind gifts and advertising. 

They will act as the lead on all areas of digital and cashless technology implementation and advertising strategy, and play a major role in developing a new three-year Fundraising Strategy for PBL, and promote the THSH Corporate Membership packages and events and benefits.

The role will support the Head of Development to implement a new corporate giving strategy and build strong relationships with local businesses and work closely with the Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) to manage a number of trust and foundation applications.  The post holder will produce reports and data on all fundraising activity whilst actively building and modifying the CRM system, Development webpages and digital presence, and liaise with other teams to identify promotional/commercial opportunities for current campaigns.

The ideal candidate for this role must have a successful track record of fundraising within the arts and/or a venue organisation working on capital campaign/s, and be experienced across the fundraising mix covering individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations.

They must possess a good understanding of local and national businesses and partnerships, and have the ability to demonstrate a creative, innovative approach to development, in order to understand and access new income streams and diversify the fundraising mix.

They must also have excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to produce high quality, persuasive, and compelling written reports and applications within tight timeframes and have the confidence to present to key individuals with gravitas and fluidity, and be experienced in their handling of data, competent in the use of general IT and diary management systems and in working with CRM databases such as Spektrix.

As THSH is a live music and entertainment venue we require flexibility in terms of working outside of 9-5 office hours, so working some evenings and occasional weekends will be necessary.
