We are recruiting for a Director of Fundraising to develop and implement a culture of philanthropy across Henshaws, ensuring the charity is able to maximise fundraising income and opportunities through an integrated strategic approach and focus on impact and quality. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of multi-year fundraising strategies that underpin strategic goals to accelerate income growth in a sustainable manner across a diverse range of income streams and embed a culture of philanthropy across the organisation
  • Be the lead specialist for fundraising and provide counsel and support to the Trustees, senior management, and other stakeholders on fundraising best practice and strategic planning
  • Be a member of the Henshaws senior leadership team working collaboratively across the organisation and with external stakeholders dedicated to the work and efforts required for Henshaws to secure its position as one of the UK’s pre-eminent disability charities.

The successful candidate will have significant professional fundraising management experience at a senior level in a not for profit organisation, as well as the ability to develop and deliver multi-year strategic plans across multiple income streams.  A degree level qualification, as well as professional post graduate qualification in fundraising or marketing, or equivalent specialist knowledge, is essential. 

The post holder will join a friendly and successful fundraising team at one of the North West's leading sight loss and disability charities and can be based in either Manchester or Harrogate, with travel across the two sites.
