Fundraising Manager, Colchester, Essex

£30,000 pro rata per annum

Part time – 22.5 hours per week (over 3 days)

Summary

The Fundraising Manager role is a new role created as part of our recently agreed investment in fundraising to help us to deliver our strategic and operational ambitions in line with our five year plan.

What you’ll be doing

The post holder will be responsible for generating new income from a variety of different sources, including Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, events, on-line giving, corporates, legacies and commissioned contracts to ensure the future sustainability of the Charity.  Working closely with the Senior Management Team to develop a long term fundraising strategy for the organisation.

What you need –

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of raising income (ideally within the drug and alcohol healthcare context) together with excellent research, analytical, communication and relationship development skills.  You will also be comfortable with working in a small team and with taking initiative and responsibility.

During the first 6 months, the successful candidate will be expected to establish themselves in the new role and develop our fundraising strategy with some early income generation.  Post this establishment period, an annual fundraising target will be proposed and agreed in line with our five year income generation plan.

We are looking for someone with great interpersonal and negotiation skills with a positive, creative and proactive approach.  As well as excellent IT skills, you will need to be self-motivated and comfortable working to financial targets.
