In the role of Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will support, develop and promote a diverse range of fundraising activities and projects which raise vital funds for nurses suffering hardship.

Cavell Nurses’ Trust is proud to provide essential support for UK nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants when they’re suffering personal or financial hardship often because of illness, disability, domestic abuse and the effects of older age.

About you and the role

We’re keen to hear from people with fundraising experience, but this is not essential. You may have skills which you think means you’d be perfect for this role. If this is you, we’d love to hear from you!

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for fundraising administration, and donor recruitment and engagement. You will also have the chance to lead on creating effective fundraising communications helping us amplify the difference fundraisers make to nurses in hardship.

Innovate – Your ideas will have an impact on all levels of our fundraising and your solutions to complex problems will ensure we maximise our fundraising potential.

Persuade – How you communicate will draw people to our cause and your passion to achieve will identify and exploit the best fundraising opportunities.

Attitude – Your positive, can-do outlook will mean you’re organised and have great attention to detail on the one hand, and will also mean you keep our supporters and beneficiaries at the heart of everything we do.

Being part of the team at Cavell Nurses’ Trust you will have the chance to transform the lives of nurses in hardship each day. You will also be central to exciting campaigns, take part in events across the UK and work with people who believe in you and support you.

The contract is for 35 hours a week, with occasional and planned weekend or evening work. You will need a valid UK driving license and to be insured for business travel. The package includes a 5% employer contribution pension.
