About the role:

Fundraising with our client is growing like never before. They raised over £80m last year, 8% more than the previous year, and they have even bigger ambitions for the future, bringing hope to everyone living with this devastating condition while advancing the search for a cure.

Can you help to make this happen?

Their talented high-value fundraisers are generating an increasing number of six and seven-figure funding opportunities. In this senior, specialist role, you’ll lead a high performing team to shape the projects and proposals that enable fundraisers to secure those donations. Drawing on your leadership skills and expertise in persuasive writing, you’ll inspire your team to craft exciting funding packages for each supporter, create exceptional proposals and pitches, and equip all their high-value fundraisers with the tailored information needed for them to inspire vital new donations and partnerships.

About you:

Your flair as a writer and communicator will be matched by your strategic acumen, management skills, and gift for quickly building senior relationships across a large, complex charity.

You will enjoy working to tight deadlines, juggling numerous stakeholders and requests for support thanks to your ability to stay calm and clear-headed under pressure. Day-to-day, your organisational skills will go hand-in-hand with your creativity: allocating and tracking work across the team, and solving challenging problems, while also taking a lead on the most complex, valuable opportunities that come your way.

Your influencing skills will be crucial in maintaining the efficient flow of information to high-value fundraising from across the Society, ensuring that your brilliant colleagues across the Corporate, Philanthropy and Development teams have everything they need to hit and exceed their challenging targets. You’ll also be instrumental in realising the potential of the wider Cause and Donor Impact team, focusing in particular on creating seamless messaging to weave through their special events; the aim, as in all your work, being to maximise income by delivering a supporter experience that is truly second-to-none.

Our client embraces diversity, inclusion and accessibility for all of our people. They are committed to building a diverse organisation that represents the communities they serve and ensuring inclusion in everything they do.

You may have experience of the following: Senior Bespoke Content Manager, Content Manager, Content Writer, Proposal Writer, Bid Writer, Business Development, Copywriter, Copywriting, Corporate Fundraising, Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, Third Sector, Charity, Not for Profit, etc.
