Support Worker 

Location: Symonds House - Hitchin 
Job Type: Full time and part time hours; Shifts consist of all day 12.5 hours and short shifts of 6 hours - early, late or twilight shifts. You will also work alternate weekends. 
Salary: £9.48 per hour (£18,536 per annum FTE 37.5 hours)

Symonds House is a 20-bed home supporting individuals with physical disabilities. The home is in a nice location of Hitchin with lovely surroundings. We offer free parking, reduced meal prices, option to join ride to work scheme. 

As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you’ll provide a high level of care and support to people in their own homes, enabling them to live the life they choose. You’ll assist with daily tasks including personal care, medication and assistance at mealtimes, motivating and encouraging choice and participation. 

You will: 

Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant is desirable but not essential as we offer an excellent training and induction programme to get you fully trained in your new role! You must be compassionate, creative and love working with people and able to travel to cover work allocated on the rota.
