A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Marketing and Fundraising Project Support Officer to join the Marketing and Fundraising teams at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

About the role

This role provides project and administrative support to SSAFA's Marketing and Fundraising teams, as well as executive assistance to the Director of Marketing & Communications and Director of Fundraising.We are looking for someone with a good eye for detail, bags of initiative, outstanding organisational skills and a strong desire to develop an excellent understanding and practical application of the marketing mix and fundraising. This role will offer plenty of variety - no two days will be the same - but you will need to juggle stakeholders skilfully and the ability to prioritise and communicate effectively will be key to being successful in this role.

About the team

You will be joining a well-established team of fundraising, marketing and comms professionals and will have plenty of opportunity to interact with other departments in the Central Office as well as members of the volunteer network.

 About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly, methodically and accurately under pressure, manage multiple projects and prioritise time effectively
  • Experience of working in a marketing or fundraising role in the not for profit sector
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail, confidence in managing budgets.
  • EA experience of
  • managing meeting schedules, providing secr etarial support at meetings
  • Strong IT skills in MS Office applications. 
  • Knowledge of design software packages - InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop - an advantage; as is knowledge of customer relationship management (database) systems
