About us

At the Together Trust we believe everybody deserves an equal chance in life. There are no exceptions. Formed in the centre of Manchester in 1870, we provide a wide range of support services to over 2700 people in Greater Manchester and the surrounding area every year. Our services include care, special education, community and family support. In the current economic climate, the reality is that we are being pressed to provide more for less, and budgets are squeezed so tightly there would be little chance of providing additional resources without the help of our amazing supporters.

A wonderful opportunity has arisen with the Together Trust for an inspirational and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead a passionate team of fundraisers at our central office in Cheadle, Stockport. The contract is to cover maternity leave for 9-12 months. If you are motivated by fundraising to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people to enable them to live their lives to the full, then read on.

As our head of fundraising you will…

Be experienced in delivering a successful fundraising strategy and inspiring your team to approach their fundraising creatively and resourcefully. Be motivated by the exciting challenge ahead, to maximise the fundraising opportunities offered by our landmark birthday in 2020, and an exciting capital appeal to refurbish and expand one of our community buildings in the centre of Stockport.

Be highly experienced in delivering a fundraising strategy that spans community and events, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships and major giving. Be passionate about ensuring your team meets their objectives to significantly increase income from voluntary sources, and you will be keen to support them in involving the people we support wherever possible.

About you

You will have a strong track record of success in delivering strategies and campaigns across the fundraising mix.

Your team will feel inspired, supported, and energised by your leadership style. You will work to continuously improve upon yesterday’s work, to exceed fundraising targets and find and recruit more donors/supporters.

In a nutshell, your team will be excited to arrive in work every day too because of the cohesive, collaborative and valued approach you bring.
