V&A Dundee is looking for a full-time, temporary Development Officer  to join our Philanthropy & Partnerships team from January to September 2020, working across annual giving programmes and funding operations.

V&A Dundee is a charity and we have recently set out to raise approximately £10 million over 5 years from private sources to sustain the successful operation of the museum.  The Philanthropy & Partnerships (P&P) team are responsible for delivering this income by working with individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations and through various annual giving programmes to secure support by demonstrating the value and impact of V&A Dundee. We offer a range of ways for supporters to engage with us, this includes – partnerships, sponsorship, patrons’ schemes, individual membership and corporate membership schemes.

Role profile
Due to maternity leave a temporary position ( January 2020 - September 2020) has become available in our P&P team which will support the museum’s charitable objectives. The post holder will maximise income to V&A Dundee by administering and sustaining financial support through established annual giving programmes, whilst coordinating all aspects of funding operational delivery in consultation with the Director of P&P. The post holder will seek gifts from individuals to meet agreed fundraising targets, maintaining individual relationships with our donors and annual giving programmes, ensuring sustained charitable giving and donors’ deepening association with V&A Dundee.

The post holder will also provide high level administrative support to the Director of P&P, support the work of the Design Dundee Limited Board (DDL), pertaining to revenue fundraising and provide support to the Board of Dundee Museums Foundation (DMF).
