We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional to shape, lead, and implement a comprehensive fundraising and supporter engagement strategy; to initiate, grow, and sustain voluntary income streams; to increase the involvement and value of existing supporters; and garner new avenues of support.

THE ROLE

The Head of Fundraising and Supporter Engagement will be responsible for:

  • Designing and overseeing a comprehensive supporter journey strategy to manage and grow income, as well as non-financial support, from all sources 
  • Nurturing relationships with existing major funders, stakeholders and supporters (including individuals and churches); increasing representation to these audiences and raising the profile of the organisation
  • Identifying and help prioritise new potential supporters and sources of funding, and devise strategies for engaging those individuals, churches and trusts
  • Implementing professional fundraising practices and processes (including full-cost recovery, bid writing, database management); overseeing, monitoring and reporting of fundraising activity and results, and reporting to funders
  • Reviewing, and developing, the current fundraising strategy
  • Planning a number of fundraising campaigns each year for individual and church audiences in conjunction with the Creative Director and creative team
  • Lead the supporter engagement team in the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Bringing together the ideas and skills of the supporter engagement team with strategic and professional implementation of the charity’s objectives
  • Working closely with colleagues to develop and produce communications and marketing collateral to support and promote the recruitment of donors and increase engagement with other audiences
  • Working proactively with other members of the UK Management Team to cultivate a vibrant culture that ensures the organisation and ministry is served with excellence and passion
  • Providing concise and accurate briefings and regular reports to the Management Team
  • Working closely with colleagues to collect and use data, consistent with fundraising and data protection requirements
  • Acting as an ambassador and advocate for the work of the Charity where appropriate
  • Undertaking other related tasks to benefit the organization

Desirable

  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Willingness to travel in UK and some overseas project visits as and when required including occasional nights away from home

OUR OFFER

Work arrangement and salary:

  • This is a full-time role primarily working with our team at our offices in Waterloo, central London
  • Permanent contract (subject to six months’ probation)
  • 23 days paid annual leave (plus Bank Holidays and the office closure between Christmas and New Year)
  • Salary: c.£45,000 pa plus 10% contribution to pension and life assurance cover
