EXCEPTIONAL MAJOR GIFTS LEADER REQUIRED TO HELP END FACTORY FARMING

We are looking for a talented Global Head of Major Gifts to lead our successful and growing Global Major Gifts team. Reporting into our Global Director of Fundraising, you will grow our Major Gifts income from the US and EU focusing on Individuals, Trusts and Foundations and explore our potential further with Institutional and Corporate partners.

You’ll work with a dynamic and ambitious team who have produced a significant growth from international philanthropic partners over the past 4 years from £1.8m to £4.5m this year. The added value we particularly seek from this role is helping the organization move into new partnerships and areas. That will be vital to bring to life new programs which require levels of funding ranging from £7million to £21million over the next five years. You will also be leading on integrating Major Gifts within the programs department further and drive high standards and processes for major gifts fundraising within the organization. We need someone with 5+ years’ experience of team management and raising substantial gifts in the international NGO sector.

Global Head of Major Giving Responsibilities:

Internally you will have close liaison with our HQ and international mission-delivery colleagues as well as the wider fundraising team. Leading the team, you will be responsible for translating ambitious programmatic strategies into cases for support, present them to do donors, do prospect research and ensure truly exemplary stewardship.

Global Head of Major Giving Requirements:

We are looking for a senior entrepreneurial major gifts fundraiser. You have a proven track record in achieving growth in major gifts fundraising, boundless energy, world-class communication, and outstanding negotiating and relationship-building skills.

To succeed in this role, you will have a track record of soliciting significant (at least £1m+) gifts from major gifts together with demonstrable success of relationship building, personal stewardship and experience of working at a high level of Major Giving in international markets, with already established relationships and networks.

Location: Godalming, Surrey

Job type: Full Time, Permanent; 37 hours per week

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 - depending on experience
