Church & Community Relations Manager

Mission Without Borders (MWB), an international Christian charity, works with over 20,000 children and 9,000 families in Eastern Europe every year. Our vision is to bring practical and spiritual support, enabling and encouraging people to lift themselves out of poverty, and sharing the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.

We have a bold ambition for the future and recently undertook a major strategic review including a new mission, vision and values. Raising awareness in the UK for the work we undertake with children and families in Eastern Europe as well as achieving a significant increase in our voluntary income is vital if we are to respond to the growing needs of those living in poverty.

MWB are investing significantly in the UK and this position is one of several new roles being recruited for, to create a new, dynamic, collaborative and integrated fundraising team reporting into the UK Country Director.

Are you a fundraising professional with great relationship-building skills? Have you developed and built partnerships with churches? Are you passionate to see people lifted out of poverty and fulfil their God given potential? You will be someone with knowledge, experience and understanding of working with churches and Ministry leaders who can inspire them to support our work. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including face to face, on the telephone and in writing. You will be our representative at Christian events also promoting the charity in presentations and meetings. We want to create something special in this area so you will be self-motivated, passionate and results driven.

You will be working within a growing UK Country Team as well as MWB’s passionate Field staff. This exciting new position is about building great relationships and engaging with churches and community and youth groups. You will need a full, valid driving licence with access to your own vehicle and the willingness to travel.

The role is based at our offices at 175 Tower Bridge Road, London, SE1 2AG, however it is anticipated there will be regular travel throughout the UK with weekend and evening work. The hours are 35 per week and the successful candidate will be entitled to 25 days annual leave and a contributory pension scheme.

As a Christian organisation, this post is covered by an Occupational Requirement (OR) under the Equality Act 2010.
