Worksop, Nottinghamshire (office/home based, working from the office for a minimum of two days per week)

Hope Community Services runs Nottinghamshire’s only 24/7, direct access emergency accommodation hostel, providing beds, meals and training courses to those in need.

Our vision is for a fair, responsible and inclusive society which encourages, enables and empowers individuals to maximise their potential.

Our mission is to ensure those outside mainstream services are empowered to make positive lifestyle choices. We do this through promoting social inclusion, tackling disadvantage, homelessness and their causes.

We are now looking for a Fundraising Officer to join us on a full-time or part-time basis.

The Role

As a Fundraising Officer, you will enhance and support our existing services by identifying and securing funding opportunities.

You will take the lead in preparing and submitting bids, applications and tenders, communicating frameworks and potential funding opportunities to senior management.

Your role will also involve:

- Establishing, building and maintaining key relationships, leading to development opportunities
- Working with the CEO to ensure business plan objectives are met
- Ensuring financial procedures and relevant grant conditions are adhered to
- Developing, maintaining and reviewing internal systems, procedures and quality standards related to funding applications
- Project managing individual application processes
- Ensuring that the public profile of Hope Community Services is raised

About You

To join us as a Fundraising Officer, you will need:

- Previous experience in a fundraising role, which included generating income
- A successful track record of bid writing
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Ideally, you will also have an understanding of homelessness and relevant issues.

Please note, working hours are between 28 - 37 hours per week.
