About the role:

This role forms a vital part of the Development Team, which is responsible for the Society’s senior volunteer boards and associated fundraising campaigns. Two years ago, we created Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD), a unique industry campaign which aims to raise £10 million for critical dementia research. Since the campaign launched in September 2017, we have seen significant success, raising our profile across the industry and securing over £2 million through corporate partnerships, philanthropy and events.

This is a hugely exciting time to join the team as IUAD builds on this momentum and expands into new areas of the industry. This role is crucial to driving the success of the campaign.

We are looking for a highly professional and ambitious individual to support the corporate and events fundraising streams and to take responsibility for key initiatives, such as our flagship fundraising event, the Insurance Day of Giving. You will also provide communications and administrative support to the Development Team, IUAD Board and other development boards as required and support other Development campaigns as they progress.

About you:

We are looking for a professional and driven individual, with a minimum of two years fundraising experience, now looking for their next step in the sector. You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, experience of supporting a team and helping to generate income. You will be positive, solutions-focussed, and curious, always looking out for new opportunities to raise awareness and funds for all campaign fundraising streams. You will have exceptional organisation skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to ever-changing priorities and new opportunities.

You may have experience of the following: Development Team Executive, Fundraising Development, Fundraising Executive, Fundraising Officer, Corporate Fundraising, Events Fundraising, Fundraising, Charity, Not for Profit, Third Sector, Business Development, Fundraising Assistant, Fundraising Officer, Fundraiser, Charities, Volunteer Management, etc.
