Job Description

The Director of Development will lead the fundraising team to achieve Kew’s mission by raising philanthropic donations and corporate sponsorships, and building lasting relationships with individuals, corporations, and grant-making trusts and foundations.

As Kew embarks on the silent phase of its next major fundraising campaign, the Director of Development will play a critical role leading the fundraising team to achieve their ambitious targets.

Kew is the world’s leading botanic gardens, at the forefront of plant and fungal science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction.

We want a world where plants and fungi are understood, valued and conserved – because our lives depend on them.

We use the power of our science and the rich diversity of our gardens and collections to provide knowledge, inspiration and understanding of why plants and fungi matter to everyone.

Kew Foundation is an integral part of RBG, Kew, working to deliver its over-arching strategy through the generation of income from Kew’s membership scheme and driving fundraising growth from individual donors, corporates, trusts and foundations both across the UK and international audiences.

As Kew embarks on the silent phase of its next major fundraising campaign, the Director of Development will play a critical role leading the fundraising team to achieve their ambitious targets.
