Come and join us at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - we are looking for a Band 6 Fundraising Officer - if you love involving local communities in feel-good fundraising and enjoy seeing your endeavours translate into transformations in patient care, then this is the job for you!

West Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity has recently rebranded as Raise, and we feel that this uplifting, positive and active name now reflects the love and loyalty that local communities have for their local hospitals.  We have been evolving and have launched a series of strategic appeals for state-of-the-art technology, environmental enhancements, staff development and the extra comforts that make such a difference to our patients, day after day.

Much development work has been achieved over the past year in strengthening the charity’s infrastructure, policies and procedures, and with the rebrand we have been raising our profile among local communities and across our hospitals.

We are excited to be offering this new post of Fundraising Officer - the post is an  important link between Raise and the local community. Does this sound like you?  You will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors and the local community to choose Raise as their preferred charity to support. You will also work with local businesses, staff and volunteer networks to develop fundraising initiatives, activities and events.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that fundraising ideas and events are in place that will have high profile and will generate funds to agreed targets. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, be keen for direct contact with people, be good at motivating and be confident as well as a self starter, able to work with minimal supervision.

We want to take our new momentum and go on to bigger and better things and we are looking for someone who can form a formidable team with our Charity Director to expand the charity’s scope for increasing income, particularly in instigating a capital appeal to support our three hospitals prepare for the future.

So if you’ve got vision, drive, creativity and a real commitment to supporting patient care, then we’d love to hear from you – come and make this job your own!
