Willow is looking to strengthen it's Supporter Fundraising team as we aim to get back to doing what we love - providing Special Days for seriously ill young adults.  Our service has never been more needed by our beneficiaries and as we emerge from the COVID-19 crisis, we want to provide those moments of escape, normality and quality time that our beneficiaries and their loved ones so desperately need.  Can you help us to raise funds for these precious experiences and memories?

Reporting to: Head of Supporter Fundraising

Job purpose

  • To achieve agreed fundraising targets as set by the Head of Supporter Fundraising

  • To be responsible for successfully delivering agreed fundraising activity and fundraising initiatives

  • To increase fundraising income and activity within the community fundraising setting

  • To provide stewardship and support to key fundraisers and supporters to maximise income potential and donor retention

Key responsibilities

  • Work within agreed budgets to achieve agreed fundraising targets as determined by the Head of Supporter Fundraising.

  • To successfully deliver the Willow calendar of fundraising initiatives including the annual Take Time for Tea campaign and Fundraising Quiz

  • To initiate, develop and foster relationships with beneficiaries, individuals, community groups and schools in order to grow the charities fundraising supporter base.

  • To Increase the number of Schools and educational organisations that fundraise for Willow

  • To grow individual and peer to peer fundraising

  • To build and maintain a pipeline of community fundraisers

  • To deliver talks and presentations to relevant organisations to raise awareness of Special Days and promote fundraising

  • To attend supporter events and Willow led events as required

  • To work with the Fundraising team assistant to ensure all Community related administration is completed in a timely and relevant manner

  • To understand and use the Charities database to aid fundraising

  • To ensure accurate records are maintained on the Charites database Raisers Edge (RE)

  • To prepare regular income and campaign evaluation reports as required

  • To keep up- to- date and comply with the rules as set by the Fundraising Regulator, GDPR and other relevant legislation and codes of practice and good practice.

  • To keep up-to-date with changes and trends in the UK fundraising environment

  • To undertake any other tasks reasonably required.

Person Specification

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

  • Educated to A level or equivalent

  • Community Fundraising experience or equivalent

  • Proven track record in delivering and exceeding fundraising targets

  • Proven experience in delivering timely fundraising campaigns and initiatives

  • Hands on budget management experience ideally within a fundraising environment

  • Understanding and knowledge of the UK funding environment and good practice

  • Understanding of relevant fundraising legislation and the Fundraising Regulator

  • Experience of producing fundraising reports for activity and outcomes

  • Full driving license

  • Self motivated and able to work on own initiative

  • Well organised with attention to detail

  • Ability to inspire and influence others to support Willow

  • Ability to develop, motivate and manage individuals and groups of individuals

  • Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously and skilled at prioritising

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to forecast and analyse fundraising results

  • Decisive and quick problem solver with the ability to adapt easily to change

  • Innovative outlook and a willingness to suggest new ideas

  • Fundraising database experience – preferably Raiser’s Edge

Other

  • Regular travel across the county will be required.Willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
