Are you a motivated, driven fundraising manager with experience of leading teams and running successful fundraising appeals?

If so, we are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Appeal Manager to lead our Wiltshire fundraising team in running an exciting appeal aimed at providing essential care for local life-limited children and their families, by transforming our awareness and income.

28-35 Hours per week, fixed-term contract until end 2021

Following a successful capital appeal to build the first children’s hospice in Wiltshire, Julia’s House is now providing vital home-based and hospice-based care to many life-limited children across the county. With no government support, maintaining this lifeline for local families can only be achieved with the support of the Wiltshire public, hence running an appeal for vital funds.

You will be responsible for leading the appeal, securing funds from private funders and the Wiltshire public. You will have the support of a committed, Wiltshire-based fundraising team, supportive management and trustees and an Appeal Board.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • A successful track record in running fundraising appeals

  • Experience of managing and motivating fundraising teams, Appeal Boards and Patrons

  • Excellent relationship building and communications skills

  • Genuine empathy with the need to significantly increase funds to deliver life-changing care

  • The ability to connect and engage with people

Although the position is based in our Devizes Hospice, the role can be home-based with regular travel across the county.

In addition to a generous salary package we also offer 30 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays) – pro rata for part-time staff - and a generous pension scheme, amongst our benefits.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our family and be part of our passionate, dedicated team where you can make a significant difference to the lives of local families in Wiltshire.

Closing date: 17 October 2020

Initial interviews will be conducted over Zoom during week commencing 19 October, with follow up interviews if required.
