Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast at two popular, historic visitor destinations: The Red House and Snape Maltings. Britten and Pears shared a progressive vision for music and the arts to be useful. Our founders’ vision inspires all our activities: from work with our local communities to our national leadership roles in the fields of talent development and music for health & wellbeing.

Our Development Team raises over a third of the charity’s annual revenue, and the relationship with our Friends, members and individual supporters is central to the achievement of our fundraising goals.

This new role will play a significant part in the delivery of our fundraising strategy as it supports, manages and nurtures those relationships.  The main purpose will be to provide excellent care and service for our supporters, engaging them in our work through high-quality communication and events.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with experience of fundraising, to combine their natural “people skills” with strong admin and planning abilities.  We also welcome applications from candidates with transferrable skills and experience, who may be looking to move into the arts/heritage sector.

We are looking for:

  • Previous fundraising experience, ideally gained in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build and develop relationships with people of all backgrounds
  • Someone who can manage their own portfolio of supporters and events,
  • Accurate and efficient administration skills
  • Someone who makes a positive contribution to the team and who is willing to support others.
  • Is passionate about our work and is motivated by the challenge of fundraising for our wonderful charity.

Our benefits include:

  • A 35-hour working week
  • 35 days holiday per year
  • Long service holiday
  • Simplyhealth cash plan
  • Company Sick Pay Scheme
  • Life Assurance
