Butterfly Conservation is a charity dedicated to saving butterflies, moths, and our natural environment. We are a leading authority on the conservation of these beautiful creatures – key indicators of a healthy ecosystem – and we have achieved numerous successes for them locally and nationally. However, we still have so much more to do!

We are a vibrant, inspiring place to work and we're passionate about connecting people to nature. We're looking to recruit a passionate and ambitious Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships who will help us to create a world where butterflies and moths thrive and can be enjoyed by everyone, forever.

The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will lead Butterfly Conservation's major gifts, corporate fundraising, and legacy strategies - to deliver the high-value relationships and achieve the significant income growth that we know is possible.

Using your expertise, you will develop our national Corporate Fundraising, enabling us to secure more varied and multi-faceted partnerships, whilst also driving our small but growing Major Donor and Legacy functions.

This role will require an ambitious and creative approach, constant ‘horizon scanning’ and outstanding levels of internal collaboration to support income growth and enable our strategic priorities.

Trust and Grant fundraising is not within the remit of this role.

Our people are at the heart of what we do. Our work is only possible thanks to the commitment and dedication of our supporters, volunteers, and staff. If this sounds like the type of environment that would suit you for the next phase of your career, then we want to hear from you! The role is permanent and full-time and offers the opportunity to work flexibly from home with in-person meetings across the UK as required.

If you are excited about the prospects of working for a leading conservation charity, please read through the job description and person specification, to see if you have the right skills to join the team.

Butterfly Conservation is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from people from the widest possible diversity of backgrounds, cultures and experiences. We are dedicated to encouraging a supportive and inclusive culture. Please tell us if there are any reasonable adjustments we can make to help you in your application or with our recruitment process.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
