Campaign for Better Transport is ready for a major step change in how we approach fundraising. We are looking for a talented, experienced marketeer to join our growing charity. Could you be the person to recruit and build your own income generation team, and lead that team to maximise income from new and existing streams? If you think you are, we want you to apply!

The country's leading transport charity, Campaign for Better Transport has worked for almost 50 years to improve transport, tackle climate change and create a more inclusive society. Many of these issues are now coming to a head, and so - supported by a major grant - we are stepping up our work.

Next year we are 50 years old; we want to shout about it and use this anniversary as a fundraising hook for industry and the public. We are looking for a Director of Income Generation to develop and implement a fundraising strategy and increase our income to £1m per annum after three years.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in charity fundraising, including leading a fundraising team to achieve challenging targets. You will have a successful track record in wide-ranging income generation portfolios including corporate, individuals, major gift, trusts and foundations, donor databases and legacy marketing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and developing an income generation team
  • Developing and implementing an income generation strategy
  • Developing existing income streams: growing and maintaining relationships with corporate and individual supporters
  • Identifying and implementing new income streams: building a portfolio of high-value corporates, individuals and trusts
  • Being an active member of the leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the charity

Closing date for applications: 11pm on Monday 4 July.

See application pack for more details.
