We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Data Analyst to work in our Data team alongside the Data Manager to deliver highly effective supporter analysis, statistical models, reports and dashboards to inform the evidence based decision making of the Income Generation directorate. Please note, you can either be based at our National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate or homebased.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2018 we helped around 184,000 cats and kittens, an average of 500 per day.

The Data team, based in the Income Generation department, focusses on data processing, data selections and is now building up the analysis function of the team to maximise return on Cats Protections investments. The Data team has grown over the last couple of years which is due to charity growth and the addition of the new Senior Data Analyst role is proof of this. The Data team sits under the Head of Direct and Digital Marketing which focuses on our Individual Giving strategies.

This role will work closely with the Data Manager as well as other internal stakeholders ensuring that you're providing an excellent service when it comes to assessing how analysis can support and enable strategic plans. You will manage the regular analysis of supporter data and database queries from Income Generation teams to optimise supporter journeys, improve targeting and drive engagement. You will line manage the Data Selections and Reporting Officer and act on behalf of the Data Manager in their absence. You'll improve the value of data sets ensuring that you're being proactive in finding opportunities to generate income and minimise costs.

You'll have significant database marketing experience with proven experience in creating performance dashboards and using CARE database, FastStats or similar. You'll have great knowledge of data protection law and be a keen and effective problem solver. There may be occasional travel with overnight stays and if you love cats, this is the role for you!
