About Child Bereavement UK

Child Bereavement UK helps children, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people up to the age of 25 who are facing bereavement, and anyone affected by the death of a child of any age.

We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Trusts Manager to lead a small yet established Trusts and Grants team as it manages and develops a portfolio of trust, foundation and statutory funders.

As well as leading on a range of high-value, multi-year bids and stewarding the relationships with our largest funders, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the Trusts and Grants strategy in close collaboration with a supportive Director of Fundraising.

A practiced trusts fundraiser, you will have a knack for identifying how our cause could align with funder interests and would take a systematic approach to spotting opportunities for support.

As well as an excellent writer with an ability to understand our range of services and communicate these in compelling cases for support, we are also looking for someone used to working with numbers, comfortable managing and reforecasting the trusts income budget, as well as developing budgets to accompany large, multi-year funding applications.

Currently, we are fortunate to have a large portfolio of live funders who we retain with excellent stewardship, so this role requires a confident relationship manager who will be comfortable managing both the relationships with external stakeholders, as well as those internally who play a crucial part in ensuring we have the information we need for monitoring and reporting.

This post will be a senior role in our friendly and hard-working Fundraising Team, who were awarded the Institute of Fundraising Chiltern’s Fundraising Team of the Year for its work during the pandemic.

Closing Date: Midday Friday 15th January 2021
Interviews: W/C 18th January onwards (will take place on Zoom).
