We are a leading charity and the UK’s expert voice for children with cancer and we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic relationships fundraiser to join our growing team.

You will have solid experience of community fundraising, relationship fundraising or other relevant fundraising disciplines. You will support our flagship Special Named Funds programme, which supports families to undertake ongoing fundraising for our work (particularly medical research). You’ll build excellent relationships with supporters and help them to reach their fundraising goals.

Our work

Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. Our network of dedicated professional members work together in treatment, care and research to help shape a future where all children with cancer survive and live happy, healthy and independent lives.

We fund and support innovative world-class research and collaborate, both nationally and internationally, to drive forward improvements in childhood cancer. Our award-winning information resources help lessen the anxiety, stress and loneliness commonly felt by families, giving support throughout the cancer journey.

We are a registered charity and fundraise for our important activities through campaigns, donations and family involvement.

Main purpose of the job

This role is to provide support to families engaged with our Special Named Funds programme, developing relationships and supporting fundraising activities. You’ll contribute to the development and growth of the Special Named Fund programme and offer one-to-one support, ensuring an outstanding supporter journey.

This role is offered as home working during COVID restrictions. As restrictions are lifted, we anticipate moving towards a flexible working pattern, with a mix of home working and office working from our offices in Leicester city centre.
