  • Based at CMS House, Oxford, with up to two days’ flexibility for home working (currently CMS employees are working from home following government guidance, and will continue to do so until the government advises office working)
  • Starting salary £37,510 to £40,135, depending on experience, with a generous pension contribution: up to 15 per cent employer contribution on annual salary

As you tell the story of what God is up to in some very surprising contexts, the Communications and PR Manager will often act as a voice of the organisation, supporting CMS to become more public facing to take advantage of external opportunities which align with our brand and engagement strategies.

The Communications and PR manager holds responsibility for the production of all CMS products and publications commissioned in the organisation, in line with the brand strategy and engagement strategy, and leads the team in the delivery of these products and publications. The role also leads on the development of the PR strategy, in line with our wider engagement strategy. The successful candidate be educated to degree level or equivalent, with at least three years relevant experience in a print and production environment and/or digital media environment, and/or a pro-active public relations environment. S/he will have proven experience in contributing to the creation of audio/video content for a public audience; experience conducting interviews for content production and working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment. The post holder will have excellent team and people management skills and a passion for mission.

It is also a requirement for this post holder to be a committed and practising Christian, enthusiastic about the aims and values of CMS.
