Construction Youth Trust is a forward-thinking charity whose mission is to help young people reach their full potential and achieve a successful and rewarding career. Working closely with employer partners, we prepare young people for the world of work, support them to build on their skills and confidence and connect them directly with opportunities aligned to their individual strengths and interests. We prioritise young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, under-represented groups and those facing significant barriers to work.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising & Development to join our friendly team and lead on the Trust’s fundraising and marketing strategy. We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious and persuasive professional who can build on the Trust’s achievements and use our fundraising success as a platform for growth.  The Trust has a wide range of stakeholders – employer partners, trusts & foundations, corporate sponsors, statutory funders, as well as young people, schools, colleges, teachers, careers advisors, community partners and a dedicated team of industry volunteers - so we are seeking someone who can persuade and communicate effectively at many different levels. In addition to developing existing and new income streams for the Trust, an important aspect of this role is ensuring our key messages are communicated in a lively and engaging way that inspires all our stakeholders.  This role would be perfect for a professional who is passionate about young people and is seeking a high level of responsibility across a wide range of fundraising and marketing activities.

We strongly believe that a diverse and inclusive team is vital to our work. We are especially interested in hearing from individuals who are Black, Asian or from a minority ethnic background and/or those with a lived experience of the young people we support.

If you are passionate about transforming the life chances of young people and are looking for the next step in your fundraising career, please send your CV and a written statement (no more than 500 words) explaining why the role interests you, your track record in fundraising and how you believe you meet the person specification.

Closing date for applications – 9am on Monday 9th August 2021.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All roles are subject to safer recruitment practices, and this position will require an Enhanced Disclosure with Barred list check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
