The post holder will be responsible for sourcing small, medium and major (six figures) grants from trusts, foundations and institutional / government funders. 

The income raised from trust and grant applications helps keeps the helicopter flying and saving lives, so previous experience is essential.                                  

Key Responsibilities

1. Secure gifts and donations from trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies by building relationships, researching and writing compelling applications.

2. Produce a prospect pipeline of trust income based on comprehensive research of Charitable Trusts, Corporate Foundations and statutory grant-makers in the UK and abroad.

3. Plan and deliver on the Trust and Grant strategy

4. Develop strong, sustainable and profitable relationships with a portfolio of trusts, identifying key opportunities and sourcing meetings where appropriate.

5. Build a prospect list of potential new funding sources and identify the best approaches to build relationships, knowledge and information to support applications.

6. Work collaboratory across the organisation to develop powerful proposals for funding and identify funding opportunities.

7. Maintain accurate records of current pipeline, income generated and application deadlines.
