Divine Renovation Ministry inspires, connects, and equips Catholic parishes around the world to become missional. Divine Renovation UK (DRUK), incorporated in 2019, leads our mission across the United Kingdom working in close partnership with Divine Renovation offices around the world. Together, we work globally with bishops, parish priests, and lay leaders to reinvigorate parishes, develop leadership capacity, and help create cultures of mission and evangelization. As the inaugural Director of Development, you play a key role in the expansion and work of Divine Renovation Ministry in the United Kingdom and globally. Reporting to the DRUK Executive Director, the Director of Development’s primary responsibility is to develop, lead and deliver on the fundraising efforts and results of the ministry. Divine Renovation is funded through large and major gifts, grants, and individual monthly and annual gifts. You will set new and ambitious fundraising targets, create plans and strategies to successfully achieve them, execute these strategic plans, and align with our global network to foster, steward, and maintain relationships with our donors and partners. You will work closely with the Global Development team at Divine Renovation and the DRUK Board of Directors. As part of the DRUK team, you will contribute to the ministry’s strategy, growth, operations, and other aspects of the work. While just beginning to formally pursue our mission in the UK, we see mighty examples of God’s plans for our ministry and welcome you to bring your hands, your gifts and your desire to do this work that God has called us to.
 
The ideal candidate will bring experience in a similar role where they have demonstrated excellent organization, strategy, priority-setting, relationship management, and written and oral communication skills. To be optimally positioned for success, the ideal candidate should hold values that align with the Ministry’s including a desire to enable parishes to become missional and to make disciples who bring people into relationship with Jesus.
 
Key Responsibilities 
Fundraising strategy and plans

  • Develop and execute the fundraising strategy for DRUK in alignment and cooperation with Divine Renovation Global 
  • Develop and be responsible for the achievement of targets key performance indicators for fundraising and development 
  • Create or oversee the creation of a DRUK case for support for specific activities 
  • Set and achieve fundraising targets as approved by the Board of Directors. 


Fundraising

  • Oversee and conduct the fundraising and development efforts of DRUK 
  • Lead and participate in each step of the donor pipeline including identification; qualification through research; cultivation; briefing; request for support; and prompt follow up, stewardship, and recognition 
  • Write and/or oversee the writing of grant applications and reports to foundations 


Donor Relations and Stewardship

  • Foster and steward a portfolio of 150-200 donors and prospects 
  • Develop individual donor strategies, along with materials, to renew and upgrade donor gifts 
  • Develop and ensure a relationship management plan is in place and being followed for all DRUK donors 
  • Manage and maintain prospect and donor records in Salesforce 
  • Work with other senior leaders inside the ministry to ensure donor relations is being attended to, and that follow-ups and regular contact is being made with key supports 


Leadership

  • Participate in setting strategic and operational plans for DRUK  
  • Provide regular reports to the DRUK Executive Director on progress towards KPI’s and to support operations and governance of DRUK 
  • Contribute as required to the effective, efficient, and responsible operations of the ministry

  • Demonstrated experience, success, and progressive responsibility in fundraising in a comparable organization 
  • Strong written communications skills 
  • An ability to foster and maintain strong relationships and to guide these relationships from start through donation to long term affinity 
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, able to set goals, monitor progress, adjust based on progress and circumstance, and achieve results 
  • Confidence and comfort working in a remote environment  
  • Achievement and results oriented 
  • A self-starter, able to work with little oversight or support 
  • Understanding of confidentiality and able to manage private and confidential information 
  • Willing and able to roll up sleeves and to work within a team toward a common mission 
  • Comfortable working with technology and data and an openness to new technology 

This is a remote-work role until at least June 2021 and potentially longer.
