Community Fundraising Officer

Position: Community Fundraising Officer
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience

About the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for generating income against set targets from community activities and events. You will be the fundraising point of contact for members of the community, including our clients homes and clubs and provide support, advice and encouragement for their fundraising activities.

Their mission is to care for older people with dignity and respect, providing care for life in their care homes, in a way that maximises their residents' independence, safety and quality of life.

What they are looking for:

They are looking for someone who has previous experience of working within a fundraising team or similar environment.

In addition, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team or autonomously, are detail oriented and can identify opportunities which will benefit our client. Experience of using Raisers Edge or a similar fundraising database, and knowledge of fundraising best practice and charity law is desirable, but not essential.

Some of the key responsibilities:

- Identify, establish and develop long-term relationships with member of the community to help build our clients supporter base;
- Deliver and support the annual programme of events including challenge / sporting events, special events and mass participation initiatives;
- Implement and deliver tailored approaches to community groups including, but no limited to; Faith Groups, Schools, Rotary Clubs and Sports Clubs;
- Maintain records of all donor and prospect relationships on Raiser’s Edge;
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our clients work, in order to develop a compelling case for support for a range of projects and initiatives.
