Do you want to lead a fast-paced team with ambitious growth plans to deliver some of the sector’s most exciting mass participation events? Then we want to hear from you.

This is a varied and interesting (maternity cover) role managing a talented team, driving performance and delivering growth for the charity’s owned events and products including our flagship event RBC Race for the Kids.

The role is responsible for the team’s budgeting, KPIs and delivery of exceptional mass marketing and supporter journeys, and will assist the Head of Mass Participation in developing the business plan and strategy for the charity’s Owned Events and Products Team.

About the Team

The Owned Events & Products Team is an exciting team with bold ambitions which sits within the wider Mass Participation Team and is a crucial part of the Public Fundraising department. This team of five manage GOSH Charities owned events and products including the Walkie Talkie Tower Climb, GOSH Charity Play Date, Geek Out for GOSH and our flagship event RBC Race for the Kids.

The broader Mass Participation Team also incorporates Challenge Events and Virtual Events Team. The wider team have ambitions to raise £9m per year through a range of high-profile mass participation propositions, including Facebook challenges, gaming and third-party events such as the TCS London Marathon.

About You

You will be a strong and inspiring leader with proven experience of developing and delivering mass participation events and campaigns and managing a team to meet ambitious income and recruitment targets.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- A strong understanding of the mass participation fundraising market, trends and opportunities.
- Proven experience influencing partners, suppliers, agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver results.
- Excellent understanding of effective marketing and stewardship plans to deliver an exemplary supporter experience and high average gifts from fundraisers.
- Experience of innovation and new product development.
- A real passion for working in public fundraising and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter experiences.
