Do you want to lead a fast-paced team with ambitious growth plans to develop and deliver new and existing virtual events? Then we want to hear from you.

This is a varied and interesting role managing a small but punchy team, driving performance and delivering ambitious income targets for virtual fundraising products including Facebook challenges and Running off Christmas, as well as developing new virtual fundraising propositions.

The role is responsible for the team’s budgeting, KPIs and delivery of exceptional marketing and supporter journeys, and will assist the Head of Mass Participation in developing the business plan and strategy for the charity’s virtual events portfolio.

About the Team

The Virtual Events Team is a new and exciting team with bold ambitions which sits within the Mass Participation Team and is a crucial part of the Public Fundraising department. This agile team of three will manage GOSH Charities own virtual products including Facebook Fundraising and our well established ‘Running off Christmas Campaign’, as well as delivering new virtual propositions as the market evolves.

The broader Mass Participation Team, also incorporates Challenge Events and Owned Events and Products Team. The wider team have ambitions to raise £9m per year through a range of exciting mass participation fundraising propositions, which also include gaming, third-party events such as the TCS London Marathon and the charity’s flagship event RBC Race for the Kids.

About You

You will be a strong and inspiring leader with proven experience of developing and delivering virtual fundraising products and campaigns and managing a team to meet ambitious income and recruitment targets.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- Good knowledge of Facebook Fundraising and social campaign management.
- Strong influencing skills with commercial acumen when working with partners, suppliers, internal stakeholders and fundraisers.
- Excellent understanding of effective marketing and stewardship plans to deliver an exemplary supporter experience and high average gifts from fundraisers.
- Experience working as a senior member of a Mass Participation Team building and monitoring budgets.
- A real passion for working in public fundraising and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter experiences.
