Director of Development

We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. Our aim is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more. We have a proud history dating back 90 years but have grown rapidly in recent years.

Our annual income now puts us in the top two per cent of charities. WOW is our year-round walk to school challenge, capturing the imagination of children in 2,000 schools across the UK. We also campaign for better public policies and work with public authorities and businesses to improve streets and public places.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to become our Director of Development. You will lead a team responsible for all our income generating activity to ensure a sustainable income base. This includes restricted grants and contracts from statutory and charitable sources. It also includes unrestricted sources including individual giving, fundraising events, corporate partnerships and Living Streets Services Ltd (LSS) our wholly owned trading subsidiary. You will also be a member of our Senior Management Team, collectively steering the organisation.
