You will be responsible for implementing the trusts and foundations strategy as provided by the Development Manager. This is a key role focusing on writing and submitting funding applications and reports against income targets, with the support of the Development Manager. This role will also be responsible for prospecting, managing and stewarding relationships to ensure the highest possible retention of, and return from, funders. 

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in trusts and foundations fundraising. You will be able to prioritise a busy workload and work independently, with excellent attention to detail. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Open Up Music is an award-winning Bristol-based charity, delivering ambitious, national programmes to raise standards in music education for young disabled people. Our vision is a world where orchestras are open to everyone. Our mission is to make orchestras accessible to young disabled people. 

Open Up Music is undergoing significant changes, particularly in relation to income generation. Currently, most of our income is derived from trusts and foundations. Our strategic plan highlights the importance of generating new income streams such as corporate, major donor, and commercial income. This role will hold the trusts and foundations portfolio, with support from the Development Manager, to allow the Development Manager to focus on other areas of funding. The team will consist of the incoming Senior Trusts Officer and the Development Manager.
